In 1985 BVE was formed by eighty 3rd & 4th generation grape growers who shared a passion for producing fine wines that truly reflected the character of the Barossa Valley.
Crafted by the makers of the world recognised BVE E&E Black Pepper Shiraz, E Minor is a tribute to the rich cultural and musical influence of the Barossa Valley Settlers.
Deep red, purple hue. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant and dark berry with hints of mint, eucalyptus, chocolate and subtle oak. Palate shows the richness and medium weight of the Cabernet, which has been tempered by the blending of Merlot for elegance, which adds softness to back palate. A great example of a classic Australian blend. Medium bodied, with great finesse.
2007 was a very warm vintage, which followed a very dry winter. Small crops of intensely flavoured berries were traditionally fermented on skins for 6 days, before barrel maturation in French and American oak for up to 12 months. Lightly fined before bottling, this great Australian food friendly blend will continue to improve for up to 6 years from release.
