Fruit for the E&E Black Pepper Shiraz comes from carefully selected parcels of fruit grown in the Barossa Valley. Fruit is chosen for its exceptional quality and concentration of flavour. The close relationship between winemaker and vigneron ensures that E&E will continue to build on its reputation as a flagship Barossa Valley Shiraz. The E&E Sparkling Shiraz is created using the traditional bottle fermentation method.
Vibrant earth red, purple hue. Lifted cherry, chocolate, background oak and sweet fruit. Rich and long finish, lively mouthfeel, firm tannin and sweet fruit with integrated oak.
Our Sparkling Shiraz is unique! Made from 100% Shiraz and is aged in equal portions of French and American oak of which 30% is new - exactly the same as our E&E Black Pepper Shiraz. The wine is then blended and aged for an additional twelve months in old French oak barrels prior to bottling. From there the wine goes through bottled fermentation, aged on lees for a minimum of twelve months before being riddled, disgorged and topped with liqueur. Absolutely worth the wait! This wine has a great length of flavour and can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years for further complexity.
